This game will probably suck, but I can have hopes.

looks pretty good actually. a bit choppy, but that might be the video quality and what not.

it seems theyve gone back to the roots a bit. most of the time hes running, its a side view, going from left to right of the screen. i was actually thinking about this a month ago. the original sonics were so popular compared to the newer ones that it seemed like Sega would make a move like this.

and apparently you can play as Knuckles and Tails only this time around. yay no more Blaze! i only pray that i can coop play as Tails while a partner plays as Sonic like the originals. :(

cant wait to play it.

for an icon who has some pretty crappy games, sega sure does come out with a lot of Sonic titles.

I really liked Sonic and the seven rings for the Wii though. I thought it really went back to the roots, mainly because sonic never stoped running. This one looks a lot like that, so maybe there's hope.

i would absolutely hate to be the detail designer for a sonic game.
"alright in this part of the track i'm gonna need you to draw 7 different trees right here beside the bumper"
"but they are just gonna run by it in like not even one second"
"these are advanced graphics times, draw me these trees or you're fired"

i imagine level design has to be the longest part of this process. you run through such a long distance in so little time

It looks pretty and all, but it seems like this game would be more fun to watch than to play. It's a lot of running in strait lines and jumping when necessary and not much, dare I say, platforming. I didn't see a single obstacle Sonic didn't just run through, including enemies.

that video was awesome, the game looks beautiful. to be honest, when Sonic does get hit, it takes away the fun, since it completely stops your speed. the Sonic games were always meant to be the fastest moving platformer and i find the fun in just being able to maneuver around at lightning speeds.

im most likely going to pick this game up for PS3.

this game looks like so much fun. all you did in the old sonic games was run as fast as you can through obsticals, spin through enemies, jump on enemies, and beat the shit out of whatever machine dr. robotnik was in at the time. looks like a well needed return to simplicity to me.

its interesting though, maybe its just the video or the game isnt finished, but it looked kinda laggy or something. the graphics and the frame rate look phenomenal but something didnt look right...

sonic loses most of his speed for some stretchy arms. looks pretty cool. the werehog part almost looks better than the actual sonic part. normal sonic mode appears confusing.

i want to play it, but i wasted (WASTED) all my money on tales of symphonia 2, which was a waste (A WASTE) of money.

ok, this is totally off topic, but now that i've already started complaining about tales 2...

tales of symphonia 2 isn't a horrible game. the battle system is way better than it was in the first one, but a really cool battle system doesn't make up for a half-assed story line. here are some major spoilers. emil and marta are trying to get the eight cores of the centurions in order to awaken lord ratatosk, the king of the monsters, to restore the balance of the world. when emil makes a pact with the centurion of darkness, he aquires a split personality that is the power of lord ratatosk. well, several nonsense events later, everyone finds out that emil IS lord ratatosk. really... that's the best you could do, namco? i'm debating even finishing the game

i probably wont be playing it until December, seeing as the PS3 version got delayed and it has trophies, so i want to earn them.

i plan to rent it though, not buy.
