I have a venomously wicked hatred for Rockstar and all of its flith. Grand Theft Auto games are not fun, and I despise all the parasites that revel in its mess. Look at Manhunt. That game is pathetic, but it gets tons of attention because of the simplistic shock value and because of the company's fame.

On a different note, if Brawl doesn't win fighting game of the year, I'm never watching another TV program that claims to know anything about videogames. Soul Cal 4 was sloppy, MK vs DC is a stupid concept, and DBZ fighting games are generally trashy. If any of those 3 games win, then it should be clear for all to see the type of sellout the videogame media industry has become.

i will admit that GTA4 was over-hyped, but its still an amazing game, from a production value standpoint. the sheer amount of things to do in the game and the attention to detail regarding replicating NY city is astounding.

i went to the midnight release of the game, played maybe 12 hours of the game and traded it in. it just wasnt my cup of tea, and the multiplayer is god-awful.

i agree, none of the other games compare to Brawl, really. but i can definately see SC4 winning because of its...well you remember my review, right?

gotta get the advertising in there somewhere, right? its just another sign that this "awards ceremony" isnt taken seriously and is nothing more than a way to advertise and prove more to the world that Hollywood doesnt and never will know anything about the video game industry.

Here's what I would pick!!


Game of the Year

* Fallout 3 (Bethesda Softworks/ Bethesda Game Studios)

I dunno if I could choose between Fallout 3 and MGS4 very easily. MGS4 had an AMAZING story, but I think Fallout 3 wins over it. MGS4 didn't have the gameplay of the previous in the series.


Studio of the Year

* Bethesda Game Studios

Harmonix is a little bitch for ripping off every single fucking Konami music/simulation game and I agree with Daniel on Rockstar. I think they do make good games, but there's something about them... So, Media Molecule has only made Little Big Planet so far, and even though they're under Lionhead, that doesn't make them Lionhead... so yeah, Bethesda ftw. Taking an old almost dead franchise and reviving it like they do everything else (Elder Scrolls comes to mind).


Best Shooter

Haven't played Left 4 Dead, and Gears of War 2 sucks imo. Actually, I haven't played any of these, so I can't state my opinion.


Best RPG

* Fable II

Best RPG.. hmm.. The World Ends With You didn't seem to have the depth and complexity an RPG requires (at least what I played of it) and Warhammer was obviously a flop. I'm not sure one can say Fallout 3 is an RPG in the traditional sense, so Fable II gets it.


Best Fighting Game

* Super Smash Bros. Brawl

* Wii Fit

I'd have to go with Wii Fit, although I hate that it's categorized as sports... but hey, where else would it go. It brings families together and gets losers like me off the couch or out of the computer chair.

HAH, MGS4, no question. Fallout 3 is nice, but has it's ugly moments, Little Big Planet is realistic enough compared to the others for me to understand the complexity of its graphical requirements, and Gears of War 2 looks just like Gears of War 1 imo.

Brawl missed out on both best Wii game and Best Fighter. we all know Soul Calibur 4 is better anyway. i mean cmon, they spent thousands of dollars on boob enhancements for the characters, and this is SpikeTV were talking about here.

all Brawl had was Zero Suit Samus, srsly.

are you kidding me? Boob enhancements aside, I found it painful to look at the women in SC4. The engine showed cuts and bruises in battle and I didn't want to see the pretty ladies hurt like that.

at least in brawl Samus didn't start bleeding after a few punches, she was flawless throughout.

soul calibur 4 was a very unfinished game, and it won. not surprising.

i didn't much care for Burnout... then again, i didn't play it in depth, only because i got bored with it.

My position stands. Legalizing CP is the least of our worries. Look what some of our other presidents have brought us (or will bring us!). Anyways, I think the way society should handle people, who commit crimes and look at stuff like CP, is by stoneing (stoning?) them to death like the way citizens did back during the Roman Empire's little world dominating era-thing.

i agree. Before the nation goes into bankruptcy, or in a deeper recession then our current state, they will legalize Marijuana and tax the hell out of it, because face it... there is a lot of weed in the country, and essentially, money to be made. If we get in too deep, we might even start up trade federation just for marijuana with other countries. Get rid of the Embargo on Cuba, strike some deals with Columbia and Jamaica.... and we'll be knuckle deep in grade A kush.
