2007 Smash Bros Melee Awards!

Yes I realize its 2008. I was just thinking of all the fun times we had playing Melee as the day for Brawl gets ever nearer.

By all means, you can copy the image location of your award and post it in your Signature for all to see!

So without further a-do, I give you (my) 2007 Smash Bros Melee Awards!




*Best Overall Player* - Andy [Boss Hog]


You guys probably saw this one coming, but I do believe he is the best player all-around. He knows how to do most advance techniques, and is quick to think. Kudos!




*Rising Star* - Daniel [Sonic the HedgeGOD]


Ok, before you laugh, let me explain. Daniel is widely known as a noob. No offense though, because Daniel hasn't been playing as nearly as long as Andy, Austin and I and he treats the game just like we do. He's probably one of the most excited about Brawl out of our group. Daniel's determination to get better is what got him this award.




*Best Oddball Character-User* - Austin [Dyne]


Kirby, Ganondorf, Roy, oh my! Quite possibly some of the worst characters in the game, Austin uses them a lot and sticks with them until he has mastered it as much as he can. Grats.




*Best Team Player* - JJ [The Paperclip]


"Ok, Peach has 4 lives and we have 2, help me kill her." We've all heard that before when playing with JJ. With the addition of online play and dedicated team battles in Brawl, I would definately recommend hitting JJ up for some great coop team play.




*Best Female Fighter* - Gabby [N/A]


Not much competition, but she does play regularly and is getting better. I'm willing to bet shes going to get hooked on Brawl when we play online together and will be a forced to be reckoned with!




*Best Ness Player* - Mikey S. [Blankrubber]


It's a shame he isn't able to play with us as often as we'd like, but if there's one thing we think of when talking about Mikey and Smash Bros it's Ness. Since the very first Smash Bros, it's been his favorite and he has worked at making quite possibly the worst character in the game, into a deadly force.




*Best Link Player* - Dustin H. [N/A]


Hyaaa! No really, he makes that sound AS HE PLAYS. Dustin's skill and excitement toward Smash Bros never lets us down when playing with him. He even dressed up as Link for Halloween! This award wouldn't fit well in anyone else's hands (or signature for that matter).




*Best Ganondorf Player* - Austin [Dyne]


Curse that purple foot of death! One of the slowest characters in Melee, Austin has mastered the art of using Ganondorf to his fullest potential. With meteor smashes sending you to your death at 50%, this player will make you want to go to the middle of the stage; and stay there...




*Best Peach Player* - Tim Andy [Boss Hog]


You most likely will not win vs. Andy when hes Peach. How could a character so frail, so girly, so....pink...ever cause so much destruction? Andy's defensive tactics keep him alive and allow him to attack at the perfect moment. Pray that you're able to dodge his stitch face turnips. Otherwise, its goodnight for you.




*Best Zelda Player* - JJ [The Paperclip]


You've felt it before. Know what it is? It's that gentle spark on Zelda's foot that sends you off the stage at 70%. With his pinpoint accuracy using Zelda's "Kick of Doom" and "Energy Ball of Destruction", JJ makes the overall best Zelda user we've seen.




*Best Samus Player* - Daniel [Sonic the HedgeGOD]


I don't think Daniel realises how much he destroys in a 4 player FFA when playing as Samus. With a combination of projectiles and ariel attacks, Daniel makes a deadly Samus player. It's a shame we might not see him play as Samus in Brawl due to Sonic...



(I might have more awards later, but thats all for now!)

Quickest to progress

everytime any of us have learned something new it was due to either tim mentioning it, or pushing us to the limit untill a new skill is reached. i still remember thinking link was the best character then tim dominated me with 3 lives left out of 5 playing as fox. he really got us playing SSBM on another level

Martin Lawrence is black though so he wins the mtv awards

no award for me either. Not even 'Cheapest Fighter' or 'Most Likely to Rape the C Stick'. I need to step up my game
