You could always add 2-3oz of 100% pure acetone (bought at drug stores) to your tank with every fill up to increase gas mileage up to 35%.

Home Depot has great gas and is usually the cheapest in Smyrna next to Kangaroo.

Lawke, Cooper meant you can buy 100% acetone at Home Depot as well. The chemistry behind it says it will work, and tests show that it does as well. The only problem (which both tests and chemistry say as well) is when two much acetone is added per a certain number of gallons of gasoline, any gains are lost, and gas mileage is lowered. A good amount must be found for each vehicle, usually between 1-3 ounces.

Basically what it does is increase the octane of the fuel, but since acetone is a pure substance, it allows the gasoline to completely burn off, resulting in little to no wasted fuel. The addition of acetone also decreases surface tension of gasoline, so the engine has to spend less energy through compression. It actually decreases emission this way, and since the fuel burns cleaner, it increases horse-power along with MPG.

when i get the chance, i'll buy some acetone, and we can try it out. i'll tell you though, i'm really nervous about tampering with my car... it's finicky without any outside influence.

If you're worried about it, do a google search and research it.
