here's all the reviews so far. Does anyone disagree with the near perfect rating everywhere or does Smash Bros. warrent perfection?

For once i agree with IGN.

Bah, it's not "perfect" per se, but it is indeed close.

Tyler, since when were you announced as the Latin Advocate? It's my impression that Mr. Williams finds you rather annoying... lol

fix the online play, make it more in-depth (rankings, statistics, voice chat, etc) and add downloadable content (balancing, new maps, new characters).

thats the only thing keeping it from pefection imo.


on a side note, a lot of reviewers said Bioshock was a perfect game. a lot of players disagreed with that because it has zero multiplayer. however, as said before, it was not meant to be a multiplayer game. critics and reviewers basically rate games on a very simple rule of thumb:

Did it acheive what it was aiming for?

honestly, Brawl is a multiplayer game. to say its not perfect because it has a lame single player would not be a good way to review the game. however, since the online portion is seriously lacking, that is why i believe most reviewers said it was almost perfect, but not quite. if youre going to make a revolutionary multiplayer game in this day and age, online capabilities should be #1 on the list of priorities.

annoyed? no, it's more of a hatred, but he's still one of his best students.

i just read the review. wow. IGN didnt play the game for more than a couple hours, i can garentee you that. they explained playing Mario as having moves called "coin punch" "water pack" and to top it all off, had this to say:

"...rack up damage with Mario's Smashes then finsh them off with his specials"

IGN can no longer be trusted with reviews imo.

I've always hated IGN with a fiery passion because they give every game that comes out a 9-9.5. It just so happens that this time I agreed with the rating.

fuck reviews even if you agree with them. it is always someone else's opinion. (even thought it should get a 9.9999999~ because it doesn't have mewtwo )

btw, is the american version going to have crappy onlne play? the lag was the only complaint, right?

no, it is supposed to be a lot better than japan. people who got US Brawl early said With Anyone is working just fine, however Japanese Wiis cannot connect still in the US. this leads us to believe that it will only connect to Japanese Servers, and vice versa for the US.

so there shouldn't be any more complaints about the online play.

Yeah, but I know more about Latin more than just about the rest of the class. Going as far as browsing through the Latin II and III books.
